A DOC or DOCX is a document file created in a word processor, such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs. A DOC file uses various bits of information from the system to create a page layout. For example, it will pull installed fonts from the system to display the text. This makes DOCs relatively small in size and easy to edit and manipulate.
Meanwhile, a PDF — which stands for Portable Document Format — is a different kind of document. While PDFs still usually contain text, they do not pull information from the system. This makes PDFs very self-contained so they look the same no matter where they are opened. However, this makes PDFs trickier to edit, so each format has its distinct advantages.
Yes, you can easily convert a DOC file to a PDF using our tool right on this page. In most cases, you can even preserve the formatting of the DOC when it’s converted. This would include the text layout, fonts, images, and the placements of those images.
However, our system will face issues with unique and copyrighted fonts. In those cases, we will replace that font with something else. This could result in your PDF looking a bit different from your uploaded DOC.
Still, most DOCs use common fonts, such as Arial, Calibri, Roboto, Courier, Times New Roman, etc. Our system will preserve these fonts without issue.

Once uploaded, our server will immediately start converting the DOC(s) to PDF(s). You can watch the conversion happen in real time in the queue. When the conversion is complete, you can download each individual PDF by hitting that file's respective download button. If you want to save time, you can wait until all the conversions are complete and then hit the “DOWNLOAD ALL” button. This will download a ZIP file containing all the PDFs you just created.
If you have more than 20 DOC/DOCX files, our tool can still help you. When your first batch is complete, hit the “CLEAR QUEUE” button and start the process over again. You can do this as many times as you wish.
